INSPIRE Course Overview:

Reflect on your practice and add to your skills and knowledge with The Royal Ballet School's Inspire seminars. We use our rich heritage of promoting excellence in classical ballet teaching to empower all teachers, at all levels of experience and from all backgrounds, to create positive studio environments and enhance the student learning experience.

 

Inspire is six one-day seminars exploring the foundations of classical ballet technique, more advanced elements of technique and artistry, and good teaching practice. All classes include theoretical and practical study, class discussion and reflection. 

The seminars scheduled to take place in Singapore includes:
 

• Seminar 1: the foundations of classical ballet explores concepts of technique including posture, placement, use of turn-out and port de bras, and the concept of good teaching.

 

• Seminar 5: pointework includes pre-pointe and initial pointe training, developing strength and control en pointe, and an introduction to more advanced vocabulary.
